1. Somnath Temple

Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in Panchmahal district in Gujarat, India. It is located around the historical city of Champaner, a city which was founded by Vanraj Chavda, the most prominent king of the Chavda Dynasty, in the 8th century. He named it after the name of his friend and general Champa, also known later as Champaraj. The heritage site is studded with forts with bastions starting from the hills of Pavagadh, and extending into the city of Champaner. The Kalika Mata Temple, located on top of the 800 metres (2,600 ft) high Pavagadh Hill, is an important Hindu shrine in the region, attracting large numbers of pilgrims throughout the year. UNESCO inscribed it as a World Heritage Site in 2004. The architecture of many old mosques reflect a blend of Islamic and Jain tradition. 5. Lothal

Lothal is the 5th in the list of top places to visit in Gujarat. It was one of the southernmost cities of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, located in the Bhāl. Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary also known as the Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Little Rann of Kutch in the Gujarat state of India. It is spread over an area of 4954 km and also known as “Ghudkhar”. The wildlife sanctuary was established in 1972. The sanctuary is one of the last places on earth where the endangered wild ass sub-species Indian Wild Ass belonging to Asiatic Wild Ass species Onager can be spotted. The wild ass is a fascinating creature, standing more than a meter tall at the shoulder and almost two meters in length. Being very agile creatures, they can run at a speed of almost 50 km/h. The Wild Ass Sanctuary is home to almost 3000 wild asses. Apart from the wild ass, the sanctuary is home to almost 32 other species of mammals including the chinkara, two types of desert fox, nilgais, blackbucks, Indian wolves and striped hyenas, among others.

The Statue of Unity is at the 9th spot in the list of top places to visit in Gujarat. The Statue of Unity is a colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The statue is located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is the world’s tallest statue with a height of (597 ft) 182 metres. It is located on a river facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada in the Kevadiya colony, 100 kilometres southeast of the city of Vadodara and 150 kilometres from Surat. The project was first announced in 2010 and the construction of the statue started in October 2013 by Larsen & Toubro, with a total construction cost of Rs 2,989 crores. Indian sculptor Ram V Sutar designed the statue, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated on 31 October 2018, Sardar Patel’s 143rd birth anniversary.
